Beverly Rayner | Toying With Human Nature
Reception: May 17, 2003 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Artist Biography

Photographic images form the foundation of Beverly Rayner's mixed media constructions. She works with these images in a very physical manner, manipulating them through painting, peeling, cutting or encasing them in beeswax; she then combines them with other materials. Rayner is drawn to images that are charged with an undercurrent of mystery or that reflect some telling aspect of human nature.

Beverly Rayner's work is in the collections of the Berkeley Art Museum, The Oakland Museum of California, and The San Jose Museum of Art.
